2. Colored copy of EAD (front and back)
3. Copy of current I-94
4. Copy of my H1 approval notice (it has the new I-94)
5. Filing fee of 340 dollars
6. Colored copy of driver's license (front and back)
7. Copy of 485 filing receipt
My list is the following (e-filers are asked not to send any photo or identification document, unless requested by USCIS):
1. Confirmation receipt of e-filing

I just learned about IV few days back although I am in US for about 8 yrs now and still struggling to get my Green Card , IV is doing a great job and there efforts can not be measured in terms of money we donate .

It sounds like a good idea but probably Congress will be afraid of quick increase in number. However, I think it is a legitimate request to compensate for the years of waiting in the back logging.
Guys put in another way to capture time is that...if a person is legal for 10 years..is eligible to apply for Citizenship...This is another way to capture time

I am not a guru, but I suggest that you do not tell USCIS you were working on CPT at that time. If you said that without the document to support, it became fraudulent. At least based on my understanding, you are protect by 245(k), since you were not out of status for more than 180 days since last entry. But you definitely need to consult an attorney to be safe. Or you may want to send a PM to unitednations. He's very helpful on these matters.

Now my question to you Guru's is (I am going to talk with a Attorney at Fragomen and one other Immigration firm) am I eligible in this provision in the worst case if I did get a RFE on it. It's hard to interpret the legal language mentioned in 245(k).
Does 245(k) help me in anyway in case of a 485 query is triggered on experience?

I had been looking through lot of postings related with potential I-485 RFE on Approved I-140 in the future. Below is my case and need your valuable inputs.
PD : AUG 06 (EB2- India)
I-140 Approved (Nov-06)
I-485 (Did not apply during July07 as i wasnt married by then)
My labor was approved on BS+6 or MS+3 Years experience and so was my I-140. I do have 3 years experience and have letters to back it up.
Current Company: 4/17/2005 - Current company which holds my GC process.
Last company 04/15/2003 -- 4/15/2005 ( 2 Years Experience)
Last Last Company 04/01/2002 - -- 4/15/2003 (1 Year experience)
I finished up my Masters in (Aug 02) and applied my OPT but USCIS took their own sweet time to appove. My OPT EAD validity is from 11/2002-11/2003 and from there on I had been on H1B, but i worked voluntarily with my Last Last company (04/01/2002 -- 11/01/2002). I do not have paychecks till november 2002 and I graduated in May 2002. What are the chances that Approved I-140 will be scrutinized for work experience during I-485 AOS and what if they figure out that I was working for a period of 8 months without a valid EAD.
If a RFE does come up, can I show that I was working on CPT till Aug 02, but it still opens up (Aug 02 - Nov 02 3 months) timeframe. I have one year left on my H1 and i am worried with what would happen when I file for I-485 (God knows when)
One place which could be potential trouble is with G-325A Form, but it only looks back 5 years of employment history and I do not have to mention about last last company details. What is the 485 Standard opertaing procedure on Approved I-140?
Guru's please help and point me in the right direction. I was thinking of couple of things.
a) Move to a new employer , but port my old PD (I have good rapport with my current company and they can hold my I-140 without cancelling it) with same requirements. Get a new labor and apply I-140 (Risks ism PERM taking a quite a bit of time to approve)
b) Talk to my company attorney and see other possibilities. File new Labor based on MS+2 years vs MS+3 Years.
c) Am I worried too much and just relax?

It's good to extend H1. On the other side, my wife got visa for her parents on EAD. So that's not a concern.

Thanks Manish for your response. I was able to answer all his questions and like you said he asked for my pay stub so i had to give it to him. He was more happy to see the annual gross income on the pay stub which gave him an idea about the wages paid by the company (he was actually asking me the exact figure of annual gross income). Life here is already so complicated (when i compare to india).
I had similar visit from USCIS in last year(sept 09).He asked me all general questions.I was able to respond all their questions except the pay stub.I did not had pay stub at that time and unable to show him.But since then I haven't heard anything from USICS.

Golden Rule: Never take chances with your immigration matters and never try to go cheap either.
Based on this rule, you should apply for your EAD extension.

i have a question. can someone explain to me, what will happen next.
i mean to my 485. last chkd it was in name-chk.
will i b allotted a visa no. in august? and what happens if my 485 is pending and lets say the september visa bulletiin-eb2 is retrogressed? will i still be able to take advantage of this PD openeing or not?
pls. advise, i am unclear about this. i am planning to change employers, but with this new development, i want to know what the next steps will be.

Why USCIS wants people to file after July 31st?

They just want to sit on it milk money from immigrants. This direction is CLERALY coming from TOP MANAGEMENT of USCIS.
It is the political will to keep immigrants without full rights, the longer the better. There is no point in analyzing and predicting anything logically or based on assumption that they have good intentions but just do their job inefficiently. Are there any naive people still out there who don't understand that this is the policy? As Shustermn said, "show me who believes that USCIS cares about its "customers" and that increased fees will bring more efficient processing and I will show you someone who beleives in Santa Clause and tooth fairy" There is a will there is a way. They have no will to let us off the hook. Period! Our only hope is that to openly advocate lesser rights for legal immigrants doesn't look good yet, because discrimination is still considered indecent, like racism, and people and the government officials don't want to look indecent. However, even that has been changing for the worse recently as you could see from the CIR debate in Senate, our friend LD daily prpaganda, senator S suggestions, etc. Didn't you notice how even during CIR discussion an impression was created that there is no such thing as legal immigrants who have lived without full rights in US for many years? There are only illegals and those who live outside the country "waiting in line" to enter. They don't want to attract attention to this fact!
However, have no doubts, they will continue try to hurt us silently, without attracting public attention. Watch what will (has?) happen to Zoe's request. Do you believe there really will be a congress hearing on the July visa debacle and the public will really learn how and who was behind it and all the correspondence will be made public? I doubt. They struck a deal and this will be shoved under the carpet. Did you hear any discussion about USCIS processing times even during CIR debate? Did any even pro-immigrant senator dare to suggest fixed, mandatory processing times for immigration application? Let me remind you that even the "progressive" SKIL bill contains a clause that allows FBI checks to run indefinetly and takes away the right to sue over that.
