Have a fixed row of preset and a few reprogrammable keys to call up the interactive functionality of each seperate module so by switching the module to do each task you could record your info with one module switch the module while the file is open push the correct preset key and name the file then go on to the next either related or new task at hand.
Take a look at this:

a killer interface, easy to program, it works, and is shipping since about a year. The tech is here, so I would expect Apple to be able to implement it in their products.:D

It's interesting how large the magnitude of disconnect between the planned purchase estimates and the actual marketshare is for Macs (e.g.. 17-18% of people planning to buy computers state they will get a Mac, but only 5-7% actually do). In contrast the numbers later for HP seem relatively close to their actual marketshare numbers.
They don't offer an interpretation, but one tempting one is that people who are very strongly considering getting a Mac get dissuaded as they get immediately close to purchase, to a much greater extent than PC buyers.
That is a big issue.
We all want a big house or drive a BMW. But when we look at the numbers we realize we can not afford one or would rather save money and buy something else instead.

#3 they took the printing costs and turned them into costs for web developers to code each issue along with paying apple
Do they have to code every issue? I would think if they were adding zero extra content it would be pretty streamlined at this point

IOr it could be used to track shoes stolen at the gym. When you come running out of the building saying "which way did the thief go?", somebody who routinely tracks everyone near that building would be able to say "they went thataway!"
That is a very good idea.

I have the 11". While it IS a very nice machine, I can't really get used to the size of the screen. My eyes gets tired looking at it. I also have an iMac 24", another story, another screen. And I have an iPad. The couch-surfing is done with the iPad, and my eyes don't get tired looking at that screen. So as much as I adore the look and feel of the Air, I can't really get used to the screen. So I am really thinking about selling it, and maybe later buy a 13" Air or maybe a MBP. Tough decision, ,'cause the 11" is a beauty.....maybe my problem is the lack of glasses on my nose :p

LOL. That's the funniest thing I've heard all week! Good one. I think his fat ass wouldn't fit in the blender either... ;)

How did you secure an appointment to get set up? Which color did you get? I preordered 2 white iPhones 1st at the local Best Buy, but they weren't able to set an appointment for receiving and setting up the iPhone but said they'll call me "soon" to set one up.
When I paid the $50 deposit, the sales rep told us that they were making appointments (right there on the spot, no call backs or anything), 2 customers at a time, every fifteen minutes on the 24th, starting at 9am. I guess its different for each individual BB store.
I ordered a black iPhone 4 16gb. There was no mention of a problem or a delay with the white ones. If there is a problem with the white ones, then the sales rep (or anyone else in the store) was not aware of it.

Now that I got my Quad fixed(it's only been running as a dual 2.5). I'm thinking of selling it and building a i7 computer with at least one or two GTX295 or 480. Haven't decided on which one I really want to set up first.
I did notice that it seems like F@H is only using one core. It's utilizing 100% though on one core then switches to another. Anyway to get all 4 cores fully running? Maybe I'll just use the G5 a bit longer if it can bring out some good numbers.
On the G5 you will have to run a folding client for each core/cpu. Otherwise on Intel chips if you set the -smp flag in the smp client that should make all cores work on the unit.

Core 2 Duos in the MacBook Pros!!! Come on you know you want to damnit....
Hell yes!!!
With a better mobile graphics GPU, i.e.,
ATI Mobility Radeon X1800 Series or
GeForce Go 7900
Larger optional hard drives:
offer the Seagate ST9160821A-RK 160 GB ATA-100 for mac laptops or Seagate Momentus 5400.3 160 GB
and here is the kicker: (optional)
Blu-Ray Drive player/burner, with DVD+-R (dl) ability.
hey i know it would cost more, but apple is supposed to lead in terms of technology.

Hydra;3051385']It appears it may just have fixed it. I just booted into XP and for the first time I got to see the ugly Windows progress bar, I usually got a black screen until the desktop popped up. I had to install XP with an old CRT I had lying around fyi.

Sweet... i'm going to give it a try here... one last time. I've had enough of these bootcamp issues. I can't even get windows installed on my Mac Pro.. fed up.
*crosses fingers* here we go.

You are not comparing like with like. The comparable model to a Mac Pro is the Dell Precision T5500 and specced up the Dell is about $1,000 more than the Mac Pro. :p
If you actually read the earlier posts, you would know that this is false. T5500 is a dual socket machine using Xeon 5000-series CPU and that is comparable to 8-core and 12-core Mac Pro, not SP Mac Pro. T3500 is a single socket system which uses the exactly same Xeon 3000-series CPUs as the SP Mac Pro.
EDIT: Damn you guys are quick today :p

PARAGRAPHS!
My god, have you been onto Justin's site? (Justinlong.net) His posts make my eyes bleed. I'm pretty sure the whole 50 paragraphs into 1 giant one was on purpose.

You know...i have been a silent observer on this site for years. I never have ever signed up for a user name because i enjoyed reading different people's perspective, and felt it was best for me to just not get involved...but this has changed recently.
The apple community has changed with the increased popularity. Where as it was once a small group of evangelists fighting for apple to succeed, it is now half of the old order, and half of some sort of new "apple better not have any flaws in anything they produce, and everything they make had better use the best hardware on the planet, or else they suck and i am ditching them for microsoft/google." The fun seems to be leaving the building. I remember a lot of quirky apple products from the early days, including the macintosh. Can you imagine that apple had a computer that you couldn't expand the memory on?? can you imagine?? what would happen if they released that today...i swear people would threaten to sue apple for false advertizing because apple told them it was a good product, but it didn't meet exactly everything they want.
The antenna issue on the iphone 4 is a perfect example. I hear everything from apple should give away free bumpers to "steve jobs is a horrible ******* who stole my money, and handed me a tin can with a string on it in exchange"....come on now, people. Please.
Due to my line of work, i have encountered several iphone 4's in several midwestern states, and in several apple stores. Can you, if so inclined, reduce the signal to the phone by bridging the gap between the two antennas? Yes. Does it result in a horrible catastrophic failure of every feature of the device every time you pick it up? No.
The responses of "i'm just going to complain about dropped calls until i'm blue in the face, or apple resolves the issue, and i'm going to continue holding the phone in my left hand, without a case because that's how i've always used a phone" is akin to saying "i'm going to continue to fall on my face every time I take a step in my new air jordans because i've always worn sandals, and never had to tie my own shoes before, so i will continue this behavior until nike issues a fix so i don't keep falling on my face."

Shows that RIM and Microsoft have their work cut out for them. Google and Apple is killing them.
The adoption of Android is no big surprise either... lots of free or low cost phones and access to every carrier.
Now... here comes one member that we all know that I'm sure will be sure to tell us all how Android is slaughtering Apple.... know who I mean? :p

I only have the CoreDuo. Oh well.
I haven't tried so can't verify, but read a comment somewhere earlier that said that SD streamed fine on a Core Duo, just not HD.

So are these guys getting a fair trial? Are they exempt from cruel and unusual punishment? Oh, that's right, that little lack of human rights thing...
I really think Apple should step up and make sure these guys aren't treated unfairly or overly harshly, even *if* they leaked the design. Frankly, that would be the *only* course of action for a civilized company like Apple to do.
